Account of the county of Devon from the 33rd year, returned into the Exchequer on the morrow of the end of Easter in the 34th year by Walter de Bath, sheriff.

The same sheriff owes £60 for the profit of the county.

William Paynel owes £93 6s 3d from two debts.

Richard, son of John, owes £85 and one mark from several debts. He has not paid the terms. Let him be distrained.

Walter de Faleg’ owes £28 8s 4d from an amercement of his father. He pays the terms.

Reynold de Valle Torta owes £145 19s 4d from several debts and 550 marks from a fine for having seisin.

Henry, son of the earl, owes £660 14s 2d from several debts and £83 for a debt from a loan.

William Pipard owes £50 blanched from the farm of Hintlesh’. Let an inquisition be made.

Henry de la Pomer’ owes £471 13s 1d and two goshawks from several debts.

Margery, who was the wife of Henry de la Pomer’, owes 60 marks for having custody. They pay the terms.

Memoranda concerning the Jews.

Richard de Langeford owes £14 5s 6½d from three debts. Let him be distrained towards the allowance of the tally.

The city of Exeter owes 120 marks from a fine before judgment. Earl Richard had that money, just as the sheriff says.

John de Curtenay owes £62 2s 8d from two debts and £1,366 and one mark for having custody.

The heir of Henry de Pomer’ owes £32 15s from two debts.

Bennet le Porter owes three marks so that it may be handed over into bail.

The abbot of Tavystok owes 60s from the scutage of Gannoc’. The sheriff says that the sheriff of Somerset received that money.

William de Moyun owes 5 marks for the waste of the wood.

Ralph de Valle Torta ought to answer concerning his relief. He swears to the marshal.

William Avenel ought to answer concerning his relief. The sheriff received 100s concerning his relief, just as he acknowledges.

Joan de Valle Torte owes £100 so that she may marry. She pays the terms.
